Job summary

Lana\'i Community Health Center (LCHC) on Lana\'i Island seeks a part-time or full-time Ultrasound Technician. You will produce two-dimensional ultrasound images to aid diagnosis and assist in patient care, with emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered service.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, LCHC values teamwork and community engagement, offering professional development and collaboration with leadership. A certification in diagnostic sonography and outpatient experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Part-time or full-time availability to meet patient care demands.
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of outpatient medical setting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce two dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for provider use.
  • Maintain professionalism in communications with staff, providers, patients and external partners.
  • Collaborate with CCO/CMO on projects and participate in workshops and outreach as required.

Lana'i Community Health Center (LCHC), located on the island of Lana'i, is deeply rooted in a unique history of transitions and cultural diversity. Role Overview

Produces two dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by provider in diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs by performing the duties as noted below. Consistently exemplifies professionalism by maintaining a courteous demeanor in all communications with LCHC staff, providers, and patients, as well as external organizations, providers and community leaders. Works with and takes directions from Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) on various projects as needed. LCHC is a patient care, teaching and research organization and provides workshops, education sessions and outreach - all employees should expect to be involved with these activities the extent to which will depend upon their position in the organization.

Requirements
  • Part-time or full-time availability to meet the demands of patient care and community engagement activities.
  • Applicable education and certification as required by law, including completion of an accredited training program and certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or another similar, applicable professional organization.
  • 3-5 years of experience in outpatient medical setting desired.
