Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to join our team. This full-time role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a schedule primarily 12 PM - 8 PM or 2 PM - 10 PM with weekend on-call coverage and one holiday on-call shift per year.

You will perform abdominal, pelvic, obstetric and vascular ultrasound studies, maintain records, and collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging results.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or ARRT/DMS certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic abdominal and pelvic ultrasound studies.
• Performs diagnostic vascular (carotid and extremity venous) ultrasound studies.
• Performs diagnostic obstetric ultrasound studies.
• Maintains records and statistics of ultrasound studies.
• Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific needs to patients of all ages.

Schedule:

Full-Time (Franklin Street location) | Primarily 12 PM - 8 PM or 2 PM - 10 PM, weekend on-call coverage is required, along with one holiday on-call shift per year + no travel.

More About Our Team

Inpatient, outpatient, and emergency procedures. Ultrasound guidance biopsies of the breast and thyroid, paracentesis, thoracentesis/gynecological procedures and vascular ultrasound.

How You'll Contribute

• Positions, transfers and properly immobilizes patients as required.
• Performs diagnostic abdominal and pelvic ultrasound studies.
• Performs diagnostic vascular (carotid and extremity venous) ultrasound studies.
• Performs diagnostic obstetric ultrasound studies.
• Maintains records and statistics of ultrasound studies.
• Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific needs to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).
• Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions.
• Assists physician during invasive ultrasonographic procedures.
• Participates in peer competencies.
• Provides On Call coverage as needed.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be graduates of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology. Additional requirements include:

• Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification.
• BLS within 30 days of hire is required.
