Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Radiology/Imaging Services unit. This on-site role involves reviewing orders, educating patients, preparing equipment, and performing imaging procedures with strict safety and QC measures.

We value accuracy, patient care and teamwork. The position supports 8-hour shifts, part-time, with opportunities for additional shifts when available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare equipment; select exposure factors; perform safety standards and quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and address image quality issues.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results.

Schedule:

Main Campus location | part-time + typically three 8-hour shifts per week but can work more if there are shifts available (varied shifts), + no travel & no on-call.

Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including wide range of medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Valuing and ensuring patient care, patient comfort, safety, and adherence to imaging protocols are paramount while collaborating with healthcare professionals, quality control, and the adoption of new technologies while maintaining quality control measures for equipment and processes, adhering to strict safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are key functions.

How you'll contribute

A Radiology Technologist who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
