Job summary

Guthrie Cortland campus is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a weekend program. The role offers a 36-hour work week and a chance to gain diverse ultrasound experience in a supportive imaging department.

Minimum one year as a Sonographer is preferred. ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS certification is required within 12 months of hire; ACR sites may require ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS. Relocation and tuition benefits are available in some cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year preferred as a Sonographer.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, AAS degree preferred.
• Graduation from a Sonographer program (accredited or unaccredited).
• Certificate/certificates: ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS required within 12 months of hire.
• For ACR Accredited sites at time of hire: ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Performs US procedures using proper Radiologist protocols and standard workflows.
• Practices safe patient care.
• Performs proper equipment upkeep, including daily QA procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned and warranted.
• On Call shifts where applicable.
• Oversee and instruct students in the clinical setting where applicable

Summary:

The Sonographer, under the direction of a radiologist and imaging leadership, with minimum supervision, must maintain the daily function of the Ultrasound department, performing a variety of Ultrasound procedures.

Experience:

Minimum of one year preferred as a Sonographer.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, AAS degree preferred, and Graduation from an unaccredited Sonographer program or Graduation from an accredited Sonographer program.

Licenses:

Certificate required: ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS required within 12 months of hire

For ACR Accredited sites at time of hire: ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS

Salary

Min$35.85 Max $56.79 (base plus 25% weekend incentive)
