Job summary

System Support is seeking a skilled Echo Tech for the Hospital Unit Echocardiology on weekend shifts with differential pay. You will perform diagnostic ultrasounds and interventional procedures, coordinate patient care, and ensure high-quality imaging across cath lab and structural heart services.

Active ARDMS registry (RDCS) or CCI certification is required, with CPR certification and an associate degree in sonography. Sign-on bonus up to $25K is eligible for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
• RDCS or RCS registry required; CPR certification active.
• Prefer 6–12 months ultrasound experience; weekend shifts may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic US and guided interventional procedures per protocol.
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain equipment in good working order.
• Ensure accurate records, orders, and billing correspondence.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and safety.
• Assist cardiology in special procedures and emergency care when needed.

Job Title: Echo Tech- HospUnit: EchocardiologyShift: Weekend Shifts(this will include shift differential+ additional rate to base rate)Facility: MVH**Sign On Bonus Eligible-up to $25K**Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound directed interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.Essential Duties and Functions:Performs US procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates Ultrasound studies for technical image quality.Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the US procedure.Performs daily and weekly QC as required.Practices sterile technique as required. Assists Cardiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations.Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfactionAssesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs.
