Radiology Ultrasound Technician

Responsibilities
  1. Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures following established standards and practices.
  2. Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
  4. Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT-accredited hospital-based training program, or equivalent experience as per IAC standards.
  • Minimum of no prior experience required.
  • Must become registered by ARDMS within 6 months of employment. Vascular Sonographers must obtain registration and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within 6 months.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience, ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT registration.
