Job description

Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist will assist and/or perform all diagnostic and ultrasound procedures required by the Radiology department. The technologist demonstrates critical thinking and proficient performance in coordinating patient care, adhering to professional standards. This role may involve handling human blood and other potentially infectious or hazardous materials, which could result in exposure to bloodborne pathogens or harmful substances. The position involves performing ultrasound exams on patients across various age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics. The technologist works under the supervision of the Director of Radiology and/or the Medical Director of Radiology.

Requirements:
  1. Completion of an AMA-accredited school of sonography or eligibility to sit for the RDMS examination.
  2. Required Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS card issued by AHA; ABM/MAB/CPI certification within 90 days of hire, with annual renewal thereafter.
