Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo is seeking a Tech - Multi Modality to perform MRI, CT, routine radiography and angiography. The Tech - Multi Modality should be proficient in two areas, including Radiography, and comply with patient safety, radiation protection and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology.
Maintains ARRT certification.
State of Texas General Radiology License.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Performs MRI, CT, routine radiography and angiography procedures.
Proficient in two modalities, including Radiography, and adheres to safety and infection-control standards.
Provides patient comfort and safety; supervises and mentors students.

Position: Tech - Multi Modality

Position Summary: Performs a variety of technical procedures which may include: M.R.I., CAT Scan, Routine Radiography and Angiography. The Tech - Multi Modality should be proficient in two areas, including Radiography. The Tech - Multi Modality will comply with approved standards in patient safety, radiation protection, infection control and environment control. Provide an environment conducive to safety and comfort of patients, staff and visitors. Utilizes the appropriate leadership skills in supervising students and providing feedback concerning their performance. Has the ability to train fellow technologists in their particular modality. Has communication and problem resolution skills and is a professional role model.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
Maintains Current: American Registry of Radiology Technologist
State of Texas General Radiology License (Texas Medical Board)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
