Job summary

Baptist Health System KY & IN seeks a Radiology Assistant to oversee daily patient flow, coordinate exam assignments, and ensure quality control within the radiology department under supervision.

Responsibilities include collecting patient histories, coordinating with radiologists, assisting with exams and invasive procedures, and ensuring proper assignment of studies at shift end. Qualifications require a technical diploma and radiology certifications such as RDMS/ARRT and BLS.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma required.
• RDMS (Physics + specialty) and/or ARRT (S) certification required.
• BLS and membership in a professional society preferred.

Under the department supervisor's direction, will oversee the daily flow of patients through the department and coordinate daily exam assignments. Will be responsible for quality control of the section as designated by supervisor.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for all records and charting of information related to individual cases.
• Collect patient histories and other related information, coordinating and communicating with the radiologist and all others as needed.
• Assist Radiologist with exam when necessary and with invasive procedures.
• Assist in ensuring all studies are assigned to a radiologist at end of shift.
• Maintain a professional environment through a clean and orderly department, adherence to dress code, and personal actions.

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma
• RDMS (Physics and an additional specialty) and/or ARRT (S), and BLS
• Member of professional society
