Job summary

Premier Health Partners in Miamisburg, Ohio is seeking an Ultrasound Tech-Multi-Registered to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and interventional ultrasound under proper protocols. Qualifications

Ulrasound Tech-Multi-Registered

Unit: Sonography

Shift: PRN/Support (6:30am-6:30pm or 6:30pm-6:30am)

Facility: Austin Blvd. Medical Imaging

General Summary / Responsibilities

Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound directed interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registration in the operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on-call responsibilities.

Additional Requirements

• Type of degree: Allied Health
• Area of study or major: Ultrasonography
• Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree or graduate of an accredited program
• Position specific testing requirement: N/A

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following (required): American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Vascular Credentialed by one of the following (required): ARDMS- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), CCI (RVS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Registered Vascular Specialist
• Vascular registry is required at time of hire except at the following locations, where it must be obtained no later than 6 months after hire: AMC, MVH, MVHS, MVHN, and UVMC main campuses.
• Minimum of one additional registry in practiced specialties is required as approved by ARDMS: Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, Breast, or Vascular
• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire

Experience

• Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience
• Preferred experience: 2 years of experience in Ultrasound

Knowledge / Skills

• Proficient in performing diagnostic procedures and obtaining diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
