Job summary

System Support in Centerville, OH, is seeking an ultrasound technologist to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and interventional ultrasound-guided procedures. You will operate equipment, follow protocols, coordinate patient flow, and assist radiologists as needed.

Required: Associate degree in Ultrasonography; ARDMS or ARRT credentialing; CPR within 30 days; no prior experience required though 2 years in ultrasound preferred; proficiency with EMR/RIS and image storage;

Qualifications

• No prior job-related work experience required.
• Preferred experience: 2 years in ultrasound.
• Credentialed in ultrasound technology by ARDMS or ARRT.
• Vascular credentialed by ARDMS-RVT, CCI-RVS, or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the physician for patients of all ages.
• Obtain clinical history and data for correlation with the ultrasound procedure.
• Perform daily and weekly quality-control as required.
• Practice sterile technique as required.
• Assist radiologist in special procedures and in medical emergencies.
• Coordinate patient care to optimize time and satisfaction.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures as needed.
• Ensure records and reports are properly recorded and verified with signed orders.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency equipment locations and operation.
• Follow radiation safety policies and procedures.
