High school diploma or GED required.
One year of relevant ultrasound experience preferred.
ARDMS registration; if not yet registered, register within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound-imaging equipment to transmit high-frequency sound waves.
Monitors examinations by viewing images to ensure image quality and adjust equipment as needed.
Reviews images and writes reports for physicians.
Records and stores exams and maintains medical records.
Observes and cares for patients to ensure safety and comfort during examinations.
Assists physicians in invasive procedures by guiding with ultrasound and performing a preliminary scan.
Prepares examination reports to aid patient monitoring.
Orders and maintains supplies and equipment.
