Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, perform ultrasound procedures across patient ages, and provide physicians with concise summaries of findings. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and proper utilization of departmental systems.

Minimum qualifications include RDMS certification or registry eligibility with RDMS expected within one year, and at least one year of clinical ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of recognized training program of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent (RDMS).
• Experience: 1 year of Clinical Ultrasound preferred.
• Licensure: RDMS or Registry Eligible; RDMS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment for all dynamic ultrasound procedures.
• Provide physicians with oral or written summaries of technical findings and patient care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development; assess patient data as needed.
• Utilize department systems and devices and learn as required.

Position Purpose

Perform diagnostic procedures by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images.

What you will do

• Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a responsible individual for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment for the performance of all dynamic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
• Provide physicians with oral or written summaries of technical findings, while simultaneously providing patient care.
• The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices.

Minimum Qualifications
