Job summary

HealthCare Recruiters International is partnering with a medical technology firm in Sunnyvale to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer for an ultrasound platform. You will own electronic subsystems, PCB design, hardware bring-up, and system integration, working closely with software, systems, and mechanical engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, debugging, and validation using lab equipment and scripting in Python or MATLAB, with opportunities to influence imaging and therapy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of professional electrical or hardware engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on PCB design experience, including schematic capture and layout.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation in a laboratory environment.
• Proficiency using oscilloscopes and waveform generators.
• Working knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or another scripting language.
• Ability to work cross-functionally on complex hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Own PCB design end-to-end, including schematic capture, layout, bring-up, and debugging.
• Design and develop high-performance electronic subsystems for ultrasound applications.
• Contribute to system architecture and integration of analog, digital, and signal-processing components.
• Debug, characterize, and validate hardware using lab equipment.
• Develop and automate hardware test and validation workflows using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Partner closely with software, systems, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues.
• Document designs, test results, engineering decisions, and performance validation.
