Job Overview

The Ultrasound Sonographer NEMH- JPS Main- Days position involves performing ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment. The role is based at Northeast Health Center, with hours from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:50 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures as per department protocols.
  • Screen and interview patients, record information using clinical assessment forms.
  • Position patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and monitor images during procedures.
  • Review and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
  • Utilize PACS, EMR, and related software efficiently.
  • Maintain equipment and perform quality control checks.
  • Follow radiation safety principles to ensure safety of patients and staff.
  • Work independently, make decisions, and handle departmental workload distribution.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Sonography or related field, or certification from an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Current ARDMS or ARRT registration within 12 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.
