Preferred is an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or related degree, with ARDMS registration in at least one credential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is preferred, or a two-year allied health program or a bachelor's degree.
• Active ARDMS registration in at least one credential (RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMSKS).
• Must obtain ARDMS registration within one year of hire if not yet registered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of hire; Iowa HHS Mandatory Reporter training within three months.

Responsabilités

• Perform ultrasound examinations with proper patient positioning and technical factors.
• Operate 2D, M-mode, and Doppler equipment with appropriate transducers.
• Assist radiologists during ultrasound-guided procedures and support image acquisition.
• Conduct clinical assessments to identify normal vs. pathological findings and adjust protocols accordingly.
• Verify orders and clinical information, ensuring proper patient preparation and scanning protocols.
