Job summary

Winona Health is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging per established protocols. The role requires independent judgement, timely examinations, and providing preliminary findings to the physician.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• ARDMS certification or registry eligible within six months of employment.
• BLS Certification and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and protocol for patient exams per guidelines.
• Obtains complete series of diagnostic, quality images within protocol timelines.
• Obtains reproducible measurements using established methods.
• Provides interpreting physician with completed study and preliminary findings.
• Provides ultrasound guidance for basic invasive procedures.
• Engages in problem solving and CSI-based improvement activities to enhance patient experience and quality.
• Participates in departmental focus board meetings.
