Job summary

Mercy seeks an Associate Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams and support compassionate patient care within a busy imaging department.

You will prepare and position patients, explain procedures, document findings in the EMR, and maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms while collaborating with physicians and nurses to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Requires formal education in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Certification in sonography (ARDMS or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with EMR documentation and imaging protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment and perform diagnostic exams.
• Follow established imaging protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses on diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Prepare and position patients for examinations.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Document findings accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms.
