Avante Health Solutions in Concord, NC is seeking an Ultrasound QA Technician focused on transducer testing. You will be the final checkpoint before probes return to patient care, confirming issues, verifying fixes, and certifying safety and performance.

This role involves inspecting probes, performing electrical safety tests, assessing image quality, and documenting results. You’ll collaborate with intake, quoting, and repair teams, maintain calibration records, and uphold clean handling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming probes, documenting condition and photos.
• Run inbound functional tests to verify defects.
• Perform electrical safety testing (leakage current and dielectric tests).
• Assess image quality using test phantoms and OEM software.
• Check cables, connectors, and strain reliefs for damage.
• Verify bending and articulation on TEE probes.
• Perform final release testing and sign off on QA docs.
• Return units that fail with clear documentation.
• Maintain test equipment calibration records and QA files.
• Collaborate with intake, quoting, and repair teams.
• Flag recurring defect patterns for root-cause investigation.
• Help improve QA protocols, checklists, and standard work.
• Follow cleaning, ESD, and safe-handling procedures.
