Job Summary of the Ultrasound MFM Technologist

A Sonographer provides diagnostic ultrasound services, qualified by credentialing, education, and clinical experience, including ARDMS certification.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, following protocols, recognizing tissue characteristics, adjusting techniques, performing measurements, minimizing exposure, ensuring compliance, and documenting findings.

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree or higher in a related field.
• Graduate of an ultrasound program or minimum one year obstetrics experience.
• Preferred: one year of MFM Sonographer experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• ARDMS credentials.
• ARDMS OB certification within one year of hire.
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification within two years.
• Nasal Bone and Nuchal Translucency certifications within one year.
• Basic Life Support within 30 days.
