Job summary

Western Arizona Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership in the ultrasound department. You will perform advanced ultrasound studies, oversee workflow, and mentor technologists and students while partnering with the Imaging Director and radiologists to uphold quality care.

The role emphasizes protocol development, QA, regulatory compliance, and ensuring equipment readiness and safe imaging practices in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of ultrasound technologist experience required.
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
• Certification in Sonography required or registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily ultrasound department operations and staffing.
• Performs routine and complex ultrasound exams and documents findings.
• Serves as technical resource on protocol adherence and equipment.
• Oversees onboarding and clinical instruction for staff and students.
• Develops and revises scanning protocols with leadership.
• Manages quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Ensures equipment maintenance and service coordination.
• Monitors productivity metrics and RIS charge capture.
• Ensures safe imaging environment and infection control.
