Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Sonographer to operate imaging equipment and ultrasound systems to create diagnostic images used by physicians. The successful candidate will perform both routine and complex studies, ensure image quality, and maintain equipment safety.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree with sciences and anatomy coursework sufficient for licensure as a Sonographer.
• Certificate program in diagnostic medical sonography completed.
• RDMS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust all imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers for exams.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures.
• Perform routine and complex sonography studies and assist in imaging procedures.
• Recognize significant structures, artifacts and pathology.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions.
• Submit high-quality images and patient data to PACS with correct markers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department and rooms.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
