Community Health Systems in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist Lead to oversee daily ultrasound operations and ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will lead staff, coordinate scheduling, and collaborate with the Imaging Director and radiologists to optimize workflows.

The role requires 3-5 years as an ultrasound technologist and prior lead experience. ARDMS/ARRT certification and BCLS are required.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Leads daily ultrasound department operations, including workflow organization and staff scheduling.
• Performs routine and complex ultrasound exams with documentation for radiologist interpretation.
• Serves as a technical resource for staff and guides best practices.
• Oversees onboarding, training, and clinical instruction for new technologists and students.
• Collaborates to develop and revise scanning protocols and department procedures.
• Maintains quality control and regulatory compliance for imaging services.
• Monitors equipment, coordinates vendor maintenance, and ensures safe imaging environment.
