Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking experienced Vascular Access Nurses for a part-time 0.6 FTE mid-shift role at our Thomas Campus.

The nurse will perform PICC insertions and ultrasound-guided IVs across hospital and outpatient settings, with pediatric patients as the focus. Ideal candidates will have vascular access experience in ICU/CVICU/ED/Trauma settings, strong critical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with providers on orders.

Qualifications

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree.
• Current State of Arizona RN license or compact state licensure with multistate privileges.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessment of patient conditions across age/condition to determine initial treatment plan.
• Evaluate patient responses to care and document progress.
• Contribute to team by ensuring medication storage and documentation standards are met.
• Provide unit orientation and training to patients and families.
