Job summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform obstetrical and gynecological exams under supervision of board-certified obstetricians/gynecologists and ARNPs. The role includes Sono guidance for in-office procedures and maintaining compassionate, clear communication with patients.

Responsibilities include bedside ultrasound if needed, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and adherence to safety and clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Two-year certified sonographer course completed.
• ARDMS certification in obstetrics and gynecology within two years of hire preferred.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examinations.
• Assists with ultrasound-guided in-office procedures (e.g., Sonohysterograms, Essure, Novasure, IUD placements).
• Maintains clear patient communication and educational support during exams.
• Promotes a friendly and professional atmosphere with patients and staff.
• Performs portable exams at bedside as requested by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Wage Range: $48.66 - $77.84 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:

Performs both obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examination including the biometry and anatomy survey. Works collaboratively and under the direction of Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologists and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners.

Primary Duties:

1. Performs ultrasound examinations of patients.
2. Assists with ultrasound-guidance during in-office procedures as needed and requested by providers. Procedures may include but are not limited to: Sonohysterograms, Essure, Novasure and IUD placements.
3. Promotes good public relations between patients, family members, clinic, hospital, and community by fostering a friendly, positive, encouraging, sympathetic atmosphere in the relationships between staff and patients.
4. Communicates to patient constantly, in lay language, on the status of the examination/procedure, always maintaining patient's confidence.
5. May provide portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physicians.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

• Successful completion of two-year certified sonographer course
• ARDMS-certified in obstetrics and gynecology within two years of hire
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

DESIRED for the position:

• ARDMS-certified in obstetrics and gynecology
• 1 year of experience in ultrasound setting
• 6 months experience in OB and GYN ultrasound
• 1st Trimester Nuchal Translucency Certified
