Job summary

University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) seeks talented individuals to join the NDI team to evaluate, perform, integrate and advance NDE methods for military aerospace applications. The role includes day-to-day inspections, data processing, and developing new ultrasonic techniques using shearwave, phased array, and immersion methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of ASNT or NAS410 Level 2 experience in Ultrasound.
• Shall have demonstrated ability to produce ultrasound techniques from a written procedure.
• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures, engines, and components for damage from in-service or manufacturing flaws.
• Perform NDE inspections on metallic, composite, hybrid, and nonmetallic materials.
• Data processing and evaluation; write and establish new ultrasonic techniques.
• Operate and maintain ultrasonic equipment (shearwave, phased array, immersion).
