Job summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) in Tustin, CA seeks a Diamond Turning Machine Operator Technician to set up, program, and operate SPDT equipment for sub-micron optical components and high-precision assemblies.

You will interpret optical blueprints, read CNC programs on controllers, monitor tool wear, and perform metrology with interferometers and profilometers while maintaining ISO 9001 compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Direct experience in single-point diamond turning is highly valued.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Familiarity with micro-inch tolerances and precision part handling.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis ultra-precision diamond turning lathes to fabricate optical surfaces.
• Read, interpret, and minorly edit CNC programs on machine controllers.
• Perform post-process inspections with interferometers, profilometers, and microscopes.
• Monitor tool wear, adjust feeds/speeds, and align optics to optimize part quality.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and uphold ISO 9001 standards.
