GENERAL FUNCTION

The Production Technician is responsible for assembling new equipment to specifications, repairing, and reconditioning used equipment, installing software, validating equipment, and assisting with shipping and other shop activities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble all versions of Ultra Optics equipment for customers' use under limited supervision.
• Ensure proper operation by installing software and performing tests.
• Perform final inspection, validation, and setup based on customer specifications.
• Repair and recondition used equipment; perform other shop responsibilities.
• Maintain work standards and continually review and improve processes.
• Keep work area organized and comply with all policies and safety regulations.
• Assist and train less experienced coworkers; attend training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Note: This position involves exposure to hazardous substances requiring safety training.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Good communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities, including close vision.
