We are seeking Ukrainian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Ukrainian, spoken widely in Ukraine and global diaspora communities, is a priority Eastern European language often required for asylum, refugee, and immigration cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Ukrainian-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Deliver interpretation with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, asylum, and legal settings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality under USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Ukrainian and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
