Job Title: Ukrainian Remote Consecutive Interpreter - On-Demand

360 Smart Lingo's consecutive, over-the-phone interpreter and video Remote Interpreter roles are vital in facilitating effective communication between speakers of different languages. As a consecutive interpreter, you will listen to a speaker in one language and then translate their speech into another language after a brief pause, bridging language gaps to ensure clarity and understanding in various over-the-phone situations.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide consecutive interpretation services during phone calls, meetings, conferences, interviews, and more.
2. Listen carefully to the speaker in the source language and convey the message accurately in the target language.
3. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout the interpretation process.
4. Respect HIPAA and comply with 360 SL protocol, policies, and industry best practices as required by 360 SL clients.

Requirements:

1. 1+ year of experience or 3000 hours of active interpretation (preferred).
2. Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target languages).
3. Proof of English language proficiency with a "technical proficiency" on the national ILR rating or equivalent.
4. Completion of Mock Call assessment with passing score.
5. Updated Resume showing relevant interpretation experience.
6. Criminal background check in English.
7. Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments (Headset, Stable internet, Laptop).

• International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
• The National Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)
• National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
