Job summary

Bedrock Ocean Exploration is seeking a versatile offshore operations leader to own the UK survey delivery, manage contractor crews in the field, and help certify new crews. The role involves direct survey work, equipment troubleshooting, and coordinating mobilizations to keep projects on track.

You will train and mentor contractors, coordinate with logistics, and ensure field operations meet Bedrock’s safety and data-quality standards, with frequent travel within the UK and Europe as needed.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing active survey jobs carried out by Bedrock-trained contractor crews across the UK, ensuring work is executed to Bedrock’s standards.
• Serving as the primary escalation point for contractor crews during live operations, supporting go/no-go decisions and troubleshooting equipment or mission issues.
• Stepping in to perform survey operations when needed, including load-out, planning, deck operations, and demobilization for complex or understaffed jobs.
• Supporting delivery of Bedrock’s contractor training and certification course through hands-on modules and assessing trainee readiness.
