Job summary

Substack is seeking an Events Lead to build and execute a year-round UK events programme, while shaping the strategy for international activity, from flagship events in London to creator gatherings worldwide. You will lead end-to-end event experiences that are creative, high-impact, and scalable, manage budgets, and collaborate with UK and global teams, freelancers, agencies, and vendors.

Occasional travel to oversee on-site execution will be required.

• Significant managerial experience in experiential event marketing and production.

Responsibilities

• Shape the UK events strategy to advance Substack’s brand and business goals, while planning international activities with stakeholders.
• Drive end-to-end event execution in the UK, ensuring high-quality, creative experiences and wide media coverage.
• Enable partnerships by guiding Market leads and providing operational support for key territories.
• Manage UK events budget with clear goals, ROI tracking, and scalable processes globally.
• Recruit and lead freelancers and contractors to deliver outstanding results.
• Scale events thoughtfully to reach key audiences across territories without losing impact.
• Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to deliver high-impact experiences with fiscal discipline.
