• Active DoD TS clearance
• 10+ years of front-end or software development experience with emphasis on UI/UX and interactive web apps
• 5+ years of modern JavaScript framework experience (React, Angular, Vue)
• 5+ years experience building responsive, accessible UI/UX
• 5+ years using Jira and testing web-based apps
• Experience leading front-end development efforts and contributing to architecture decisions
• Experience in Agile environments and collaboration across design, backend, and stakeholder teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and cloud environments
• Experience ensuring cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and W3C standards compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, planning, and development of technical deliverables including requirements docs, functional models, architectures, and SOPs
• Design and develop front-end solutions, UI, and interactive components with strong usability and accessibility
• Create and maintain wireframes, mockups, UI specs, to support PMO reviews and decisions
• Implement GUI enhancements, navigation, and UX improvements for operator efficiency
• Develop, test, and maintain reusable, standards-compliant front-end code for cross-browser compatibility
• Collaborate with teams to conduct code reviews, ensure QA, and promote coding standards
• Research and recommend emerging front-end technologies and methodologies to boost team performance

The purpose of the JCO effort is to provide Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile software development and maintenance/sustainment support deployment of capabilities through application releases, containerization, integration, and data engineering work.

Job description The Senior Frontend Developer will work closely with creative design and back-end development teams to create HTML5/CSS3-based advertising content for desktop, iOS and other mobile platforms.

In this role, you will have an understanding of back-end programming architecture and technologies used to develop web projects and mobile applications.

The Senior Frontend Developer will have a high-level knowledge in design toolsets, and the methods of transforming creative elements for use as HTML based content as well as the ability to take a PSD/mock or concept and turn it into a working experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating exciting experiences on the iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices that conform to W3C standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise and analytical support for requirements definition, process improvement initiatives, and specialized studies.
• Lead the analysis, planning, and development of technical deliverables, including requirements documentation, functional models, architectures, and standard operating procedures.
• Design and develop front-end solutions, including user interfaces and interactive components, ensuring usability, accessibility, and alignment with stakeholder requirements.
• Create and maintain technical design artifacts such as wireframes, mockups, UI specifications, and other documentation to support JCC2 PMO reviews and decision-making.
• Implement and optimize GUI enhancements, navigation structures, and user experience elements to improve operator efficiency and overall system usability.
• Develop, test, and maintain reusable, standards-compliant code to ensure cross-browser compatibility and scalable front-end performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to conduct code reviews, ensure quality assurance, and promote adherence to established standards and best practices.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance front-end development capabilities and team performance.

You MUST have:

• Active DoD TS clearance
• 10+ years of front-end or software development experience, with strong focus on UI/UX and interactive web applications
• 5+ years of recent front-end development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
• Strong experience building responsive, accessible, and user-centric UI/UX solutions
• Demonstrated experience creating wireframes, mockups, and UI design artifacts from concepts (PSD/mockups → functional UI)
• 5+ years of experience using tools such as Jira and testing web-based applications
• Experience leading front-end development efforts or projects and contributing to architecture and design decisions
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across design, backend, and stakeholder teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and developing in cloud environments
• Experience ensuring cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and standards compliance (W3C)

It’s GREAT if you also have:

• An active DOD TS/SCI Clearance is preferred
• Experience with CI/CD software development
• Experience using Agile Test-Driven development.
• Experience integrating into DoW DevSecOps environments.
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required + 10 years’ experience OR Master’s degree in related field + 8 years’ experience
