Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of UI/UX design, UX strategy, usability research and testing.
• Experience delivering UI with modern JS frameworks (VueJS, Angular, React).
• Experience ensuring products function across browsers and platforms.
• Experience using Bootstrap for responsive design.
• Experience delivering and meeting Section 508 Accessibility standards.
• Strong understanding of the website development lifecycle.
• Experience with design tools including Figma, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite Web Premium, Photoshop, XD, Dreamweaver, InDesign.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in Agile environments and with DevOps tools like Confluence and JIRA.

The Senior UI/UX Developer role at Robotics Technologies supports an agile software development team, translating user-centered workflows into interfaces across multiple applications and platforms. The position emphasizes accessibility, design evaluation, and timely delivery, alongside hands-on implementation using modern JavaScript frameworks.

Role Focus

Work with cross-functional partners to design and specify user experiences, then deliver the necessary UI code to support product development. You will help define workflows and user paths, produce prototypes and documentation, and ensure the final solution aligns with IT Accessibility Standards and stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

• Apply participatory design practices, creative brainstorming, and related techniques to collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and other product team members within an agile environment.
• Support quality outcomes and timely delivery that meet stakeholder needs and IT Accessibility Standards.
• Develop workflow maps, user paths, storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and low and high-fidelity prototypes to guide delivery across multiple applications and platforms.
• Create UI specifications that support development and implementation.
• Design required graphic elements, icons, and other visual components as needed.
• Assess designs using user-centric methods such as UI reviews and cognitive walk-throughs.
• Stay current with technology design and usability trends, and share relevant learnings across multiple teams.
• Join working groups and meetings with application stakeholders to discuss user requirements and present wireframes and mockups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, UX strategy, and usability research and testing.
• Experience delivering code with modern JavaScript frameworks such as VueJS, Angular, or React, with the ability to implement and maintain modern JavaScript code.
• Experience delivering products that function across a range of browsers and platforms.
• Experience using modern CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap to build responsive, mobile-aware products.
• Experience delivering and meeting Section 508 Accessibility standards.
• Strong understanding of the website development lifecycle, including discovery, planning, design, requirements, coding, testing, and user testing and evaluation.
• Experience with web design tools including Figma, Axure, and Adobe Creative Suite Web Premium, as well as Photoshop, XD, Dreamweaver, and InDesign.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with DevOps tools such as Atlassian Confluence and JIRA.
