Job summary

EKASYS Inc. seeks a UI/UX Designer to own end-to-end user experience for a mission-critical modernization application across federal, state, and local agencies. You will translate user needs into intuitive, accessible designs while collaborating with architects, developers, and product teams.

The role emphasizes accessibility, usability testing, and adherence to Section 508/WCAG standards, with travel to customer locations as needed. Requires Public Trust clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in HCI, graphic design, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of UI/UX design experience, preferably with complex web or enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with Adobe XD or comparable wireframing and prototyping tools.
• Experience designing accessible interfaces per Section 508/WCAG standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Background Investigation.
• Experience with user-centered design, usability testing, and responsive design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and workflow analysis to develop user personas, journeys, and user-centered design solutions.
• Create wireframes, mockups, high-fidelity prototypes, templates, and other front-end design elements using Adobe XD.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, stakeholders, and product teams to translate requirements into UI/UX designs.
• Conduct usability testing, evaluate designs against usability principles, document findings, and iterate improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Develop and maintain consistent user interfaces aligned with UI/UX style guides and component designs.
• Support Agile/Scrum by providing designs and prototypes for user stories in each sprint.
• Track usability findings and UI/UX metrics and monitor user feedback.
