A leading government IT transformation company is seeking a UI/UX Designer. This fully remote role involves developing user interfaces for the VA.gov website and requires experience in tools like Figma. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and be able to lead UX projects, enhancing users' experiences for government services.
GovCIO is currently hiring for a UI/UX Designer to support the VR&E PSES contract involved in updating the VA.gov web site. This position will be fully remote within the United States.
Develops and implements user interface wireframes and mockups using Figma, Storybook, which houses a comprehensive design system library, focusing on robust application features built in React with REST/SOAP APIs and other established backend services. Participates in system planning and the development deployment process while ensuring adherence to software compliance and testing standards. Responsible for overseeing the frontend design processes, establishing user guidelines, and conducting Veteran-centered research sessions to address questions regarding feature intentions, the information architecture, and adherence to auditable 508 compliances.

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
