Job summary

BI Incorporated in Boulder, CO is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to drive end-to-end product design across our portfolio. You will partner with product managers and engineers to conduct user research, create interaction and visual design solutions, and build prototypes for usability testing.

You will translate user needs into intuitive interfaces for web and mobile, maintain design standards, and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years in Engineering or User Experience Design.
• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer.
• US citizenship required.
• Portfolio of design projects.
• Proficiency with Figma for design, prototyping, and collaboration.
• Must have lived in the US in the last 3 of the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and evaluates user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Evaluates the usability of existing applications to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conducts user testing of applications, software and websites.
• Creates and implements interaction models, user flows, and user interface specifications.
• Partners with product managers and engineers throughout delivery, clearly communicating design intent, specifications, and rationale to support accurate implementation.
• Illustrates design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
• Designs graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.
• Builds page navigation buttons and search fields.
• Develops UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
• Prepares and presents rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Identifies and troubleshoots UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
• Conducts user research and synthesizes findings into actionable design direction.
• Contributes to and maintains design standards and documentation.

Summary
