Job summary

DataMyte is seeking an experienced UI/UX AngularJS Web Developer to design, build, and maintain the DataMyte web application. You will partner with Executive, Marketing, Sales, and Development to shape a premier product experience and implement user-centered design across portals and SPAs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The UI/UX AngularJS Web Developer will design, build, and maintain the DataMyte web application. This role partners closely with the Executive, Marketing, Sales, and Development teams to architect and improve DataMyte's product experience. The ideal candidate combines strong front-end engineering skills with user-centered design expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Play a key role in developing and maintaining the DataMyte Digital Clipboard web portal and applications using AngularJS.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop a seamless self-service and usability experience for software users.
• Apply SaaS marketing concepts to build user-friendly interfaces and respond quickly to feedback from marketing trials.

Team Collaboration and Innovation

• Engage with Marketing and Development teams to understand functional requirements and propose ideas that improve user experience.
• Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) work to validate the technical feasibility of new ideas and approaches.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and design specifications.

Front-End Development

• Develop user-facing features and enhance existing ones using AngularJS, ensuring responsiveness and a high-quality user experience.
• Use visual designs (e.g., PSD files) to build responsive web applications and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Design applications that consume server-side JSON RESTful services, and build reusable components for efficient development.
• Develop Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) for enhanced performance and offline functionality.

Optimization and Testing

• Conduct performance tuning to ensure optimal load times and efficient data handling.

Mentorship and Team Leadership

• Collaborate with offshore teams, delegate tasks effectively, and mentor junior developers on UI/UX best practices.
• Conduct design and code reviews to uphold high-quality standards across the team.
• Participate in training and recruitment to help build a skilled, high-performing front-end team.

Required Knowledge and Skills

User Interface Design Experience

• B2B software UX design experience required.
• 5+ years of experience as a UX designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product design work.
• Experience with UX and product design in a self-service (DIY) software environment.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Experience modernizing legacy interfaces (e.g., command-line UI) using contemporary, interaction-driven design principles.
• Deep understanding of AngularJS for developing Responsive Web Design (RWD) and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Proficiency in dependency injection, templates, validations, linting, pipes, directives, model typecasting, state management, debugging, and testing.

Security and Progressive Web Applications

• Solid understanding of web security models and working knowledge of Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) to enhance accessibility and performance.

AI-Assisted Development

• Experience using AI coding tools, particularly Claude Code Teams, to increase programming productivity.

Additional Technical Skills

• Experience with the latest versions of Angular is a big plus.
• Working proficiency in Python.
• Experience with JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for secure, stateless communication.
• Knowledge of database fundamentals, particularly SQL Server and SQLite.

DevOps and Version Control

• Strong grasp of DevOps principles and version control tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of deployment practices, including rollout/rollback, web and app server deployment, and database script rollout.

Agile Methodologies

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including story development, cross-layer requirements engineering, and collaborative workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on front-end development experience, specifically with AngularJS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, supporting both individual and team objectives.
