Job summary

Jump Trading Group in Chicago is offering a 10-week Web Dev/UI software engineering internship. You will build Web-based applications using Typescript and Python that interface with components of our real-time trading platform.

This program is the primary path to securing a full-time or return internship opportunity on Jump's core development team. You will work on production code, gaining experience with our full-cycle development process, including testing and release using Agile

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with web development using Python and Typescript.
• Proficiency in Python development on Linux.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and threading.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team and deploy software daily.
• Interest in combining hardware/network/OS concepts for high-performance software.
• Reliability and punctual availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop Web-based applications interacting with real-time trading platform components.
• Work on production code within an Agile development lifecycle.
• Gain experience with full-cycle development, testing, and release.
• Participate in internship to identify candidates for core team.
