UI / Front End Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location

Hybrid (2 days/week onsite) - Mesa, AZ

Duration

Initial 6-month contract with extension potential

30-minute manager screen, followed by 1-hour technical interview

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer with a strong front-end focus to join our team. This role will primarily involve building and enhancing React-based user interfaces while also contributing to backend development and troubleshooting efforts. Candidates should be comfortable working across the full stack using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering mindset, contribute technical ideas and best practices, and collaborate effectively within a modern development environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Full Stack Engineer experience with a strong front-end focus
• Strong experience with React.js and TypeScript
• Strong expertise in React.js (functional components, hooks, context API)
• Solid Node.js development experience
• Full Stack development experience, including both front-end and backend responsibilities
• Experience building and maintaining modern web applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to contribute technical recommendations and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Micro Frontend architectures - Deep understanding of Micro Frontend design patterns (routing, state management, communication between MFEs, shared dependencies, deployment)

• Experience with Module Federation
• Knowledge of Webpack configuration and optimization
• Experience integrating multiple micro frontends into shell/container apps
• Experience supporting or developing AWS Lambda services
• Understanding of UI/Web Security best practices
• Experience working within AWS environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for MFE deployment
• Understanding ofweb security principles in distributed frontends
