UI Engineer | North America | Canada | Europe | Fully Remote

What we are looking for:
We're seeking a UI Engineer with professional game development experience and a strong foundation in Unreal Engine. You will collaborate with Design, Animation, and Audio teams to develop, implement, and debug UI features for our unannounced project.

Ideal candidate: Someone with a systems mindset, enjoys problem-solving, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and enhancing player experience. You will contribute to cross-team efforts, gaining experience with UI architecture and shared development practices, building features using Blueprint and C++, and understanding scalable UI systems with guidance from engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Build interactive, performant UI systems using Blueprints, C++, and MVVM
• Collaborate with design, art, audio, and backend teams to deliver responsive player experiences
• Contribute to modular UI systems supporting scalable development
• Participate in code reviews, maintain engineering standards, and coordinate across disciplines
• Debug runtime issues related to layout, animation, input, and data handling
• Support UI performance and polish across the project

Qualifications

• Experience in the game industry, ideally on shipped or in-production titles
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5, including Blueprint and C++
• Proficiency in C++ and UI workflows, with a willingness to deepen expertise
• Familiarity with Unreal's MVVM framework is highly desirable
• Interest in UI systems supporting gameplay and player feedback
• Basic understanding of 3D math and runtime logic
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Experience with game meta-systems involving 3D elements is a plus
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Passion for games and delivering polished UI experiences
