Job summary

A local web development firm in Indianapolis is seeking a candidate to implement AJAX-driven interfaces and evaluate frameworks such as jQuery and Bootstrap. The ideal applicant should have extensive knowledge of web technologies including HTTP and REST, in addition to managing and optimizing libraries using tools like Node and Grunt.js. Experience with BackboneJS is a high preference. This role involves responsibility for the management of public GitHub repositories.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Implementing AJAX-driven interface. This includes extensive knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, AJAX, and REST.
• Evaluating and utilizing frameworks for front end development, such as jQuery, Bootstrap, RequireJS, Handlebars, Backbone
• Manage the optimization, minification, and bundling of our framework/libraries using tools like RequireJS, Uglify, Node, Grunt.js, etc.
• Handle the management and administration of our public GitHub repositories for our libraries – including pushing/pulling changes
• jQuery / jQuery UI / Bootstrap
• Handlebars / Mustache
• Globalize

Qualifications

High preference for candidates with BackboneJS experience.
