Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking an experienced UI front-end developer to join our UI platform team and help build and extend core UI platforms used across trading applications.

You will work with React, TypeScript, WebSocket, REST, and UI testing in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, often engaging in pair programming and rigorous validation to ensure quality and value delivery for the firm.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years of professional experience building web-based UIs.
• Extensive experience with React, TypeScript, WebSocket protocols, REST, and UI unit-testing.
• Very comfortable working in a highly agile, collaborative methodology (sprints, pair-programming, testing, estimation, etc.)
• Deep empathy for developers who will consume your platform and foresight to deliver improvements while also managing change carefully
• Reliable and predictable availability

Responsibilities

• Build and extend Jump's core UI platform and business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to enable them to build their own applications on the platform.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, testing, and code reviews to ensure high-quality UI.

We are looking for an experienced UI front-end developer to join our UI platform team. We operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, agile environment with an emphasis on pair-programming, testing and good process to help us produce high-quality code and applications very efficiently. Our focus is on delivering business value to the firm: we aim for simplicity wherever possible but build cutting-edge UIs when the business need is clear.

In this role, you will be expected to build and extend our core UI platform, use the platform to build business-critical applications, and work with a wide variety of teams to help them use the platform to build their own applications. You should be very comfortable with the ecosystem of tools & techniques within the modern web development environment, and you should have a deep passion for enabling other developers to be more productive.

Annual Base Salary Range

$200,000—$250,000 USD
