Job summary

Intone Inc is seeking a UI Developer for a 12+ month contract positioned in Charlotte, NC. You will develop scalable front-end applications, collaborate with backend engineers, and deliver production-quality code in a modern cloud environment.

Responsibilities include building scalable UI with React and AG Grid, delivering to Azure via CI/CD, enhancing Python/Django APIs, and ensuring performance and security through testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Production UI applications with TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework.
• Advanced data grids (AG Grid) with server-side loading and performance tuning.
• Strong HTML/CSS, browser APIs, accessibility and performance fundamentals.
• Experience consuming or evolving APIs; willingness to learn backend technologies.
• Data modeling and SQL.
• Shared UI components and design systems (Storybook).
• Authentication/Authorization patterns (SSO, OIDC/OAuth2, RBAC).
• Frontend build tooling (Node.js, Vite, npm workspaces/monorepos).
• Testing, code reviews, refactoring; establish team conventions.
• CI/CD deployment experience (GitHub Actions).
• Cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong written and verbal communication to document decisions.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong professional experience building production UI applications with TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with advanced data grids, particularly AG Grid, including server-side data loading, filtering, and performance tuning.
• Strong front-end fundamentals including HTML, CSS, browser APIs, accessibility, and performance optimization.
• Comfort working across the stack and consuming or evolving APIs, with willingness to learn new backend technologies.
• Experience with data modeling and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining shared UI component libraries and design systems (Storybook).
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization patterns such as SSO, OIDC/OAuth2, and RBAC.
• Experience with modern front-end build and tooling including Node.js, Vite, and npm workspaces or monorepos.
• Proven track record improving code quality through testing, review practices, refactoring, and setting team conventions.
• Experience delivering software in a CI/CD environment (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Cloud experience deploying and operating web applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document decisions and align stakeholders.

Preferred

• Broader backend experience beyond Python/Django, such as Node.js, Java, or .NET.
• Experience with non-REST integration patterns including events, queues, or gRPC.
• Practical familiarity with Azure services and operational concerns such as app hosting, identity, networking, and observability.
• Experience using LLM-assisted development tools effectively on large codebases such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
