Job summary

Innova Solutions is currently hiring a UI Automation Engineer for a remote, 6+ month contract. The role requires 8+ years of QA across the SDLC, with strong automation using Playwright and hands-on experience testing web applications in Agile teams.

The candidate will perform API and database testing using Postman and SQL, verify distributed systems including Micro Frontends, and contribute to test planning, case creation, and release validation within Azure DevOps. This is a W-2 engagement.

Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a UI Automation Engineer.

Position type: Full-time, Contract

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote

As a UI Automation Engineer, you will have:

• 8+ years of QA experience across the full SDLC, with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing within Agile environments.
• Hands-on automation experience using Playwright, including designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test frameworks for web applications.
• Strong API and database testing skills, including API validation using Postman (or similar tools) and data validation/root cause analysis using advanced SQL queries.
• Experience testing complex distributed applications, including Micro Frontends (MFE), portal integrations, end-to-end workflows, integration testing, regression testing, and release validation.
• Proficiency with QA processes and tools, including test planning, test case/script creation, defect management, Azure DevOps, automation strategy development, and continuous improvement of test coverage and quality practices.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $45- $50 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
