Who You Are:

We’re seeking a UI Artist who has an understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of user interface design. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio that demonstrates a keen eye for detail, a solid grasp of user experience principles, and the ability to translate complex design challenges into intuitive and visually stunning solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the look and feel of the game, enhancing the player experience and elevating our product.

Responsibilities:

• Design and produce visually engaging, user-friendly UI assets and mockups that align with the game’s artistic direction and user experience goals.
• Work collaboratively with Game Designers, UX Designers, and other team members to develop and iterate on UI concepts through all stages of development—from wireframes to final polish.
• Implement UI elements in-engine, ensuring a high standard of visual quality and functionality.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a cohesive UI style guide and asset library.
• Stay informed on UI trends and tools, bringing fresh ideas to elevate the user interface experience.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience creating high-quality UI for games or interactive media.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate with other team members.
• Experience with visual tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects or similar software.
• Solid experience working within game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, or other proprietary/commercial engines), with an understanding of the associated production pipelines.
• Knowledge of in-engine UI materials and asset implementation is a significant plus.
• Experience with motion graphics, animation, and UI-related visual effects is a plus.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $83,000 and $115,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
