Job summary

Visual Concepts in Novato, California, is seeking a UI Artist to contribute to the NBA 2K franchise by crafting high-quality UI assets that align with the game’s art direction. • Familiarity with 3D software such as Maya, Cinema 4D, or other industry-standard 3D rendering tools and plugins.
• Experience working with modern game engine (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and implementing UI assets within them.
• Experience with industry standard 2D graphics applications and prototyping tools used in UI (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma etc.)
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, composition, color theory and visual hierarchy
• Awareness of current trends in UI design, tools and technologies to continuously improve quality and efficiency
• Proven ability to work with a high degree of self-direction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in creating motion graphics
• Experience with Perforce

What We Need:

Our Novato studio is looking for a UI Artist to contribute to the highly successful NBA 2K franchise! In this role, you will apply your traditional art training and knowledge of illustration, graphic design, and computer graphics software to help build a visually compelling and user-friendly interface.

What You Will Do:

• Create and implement high-quality UI assets that align with the game’s art direction
• Work closely with a team of UI Designers and engineers to integrate UI assets into the game engine using Maya and proprietary development tools

Who Will Be A Great Fit:

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $39 - $60 per hour.

The pay range for this position in New York at the start of employment is expected to be between $34 - $54 per hour.

The pay range for this position in New Jersey at the start of employment is expected to be between $34 - $54 per hour. The pay range for this position in Maryland at the start of employment is expected to be between $34 - $54 per hour.The pay range for this position in Colorado at the start of employment is expected to be between $34 - $54 per hour.

However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits. Details of participation in compensation and benefit plans (if applicable) will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

US (Washington State)

The pay range for this position in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $39 - $60 per hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
