The Student Success Assistant supports the mission of the University Honors Program by fostering student engagement, academic success, and community connection. Through coordination of signature events, support of student leaders, and effective office operations, the role enhances the overall honors experience while collaborating with staff and campus partners to promote student achievement and program excellence.

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
This is a temporary position for 8 months with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

This position is a student-centered and collaborative professional who is passionate about supporting the success of University Honors students through programming, engagement, and operational support. They play an integral role in planning and coordinating major University Honors Program events, including welcome programs, symposia, graduation celebrations, and campus partner collaborations, while actively contributing to team planning and event execution. The successful candidate serves as a resource for student leaders by supporting their programming efforts and publications, including The Honor Code, and providing assistance to student-led organizations as needed.
This individual excels at working directly with students, responding to questions, identifying needs, and connecting students with appropriate campus resources such as tutoring services, counseling, career development, accessibility support, and other student success programs. They also assist students with honors program requirements, including e-portfolio and badge inquiries. In addition, the ideal candidate supports office operations by helping maintain honors course schedules, managing thesis submission processes, promoting student events, and collaborating closely with staff and student assistants. Through strong communication, organization, and a commitment to student success, they contribute to a welcoming and supportive Honors community while assisting with departmental priorities and special projects as needed.
