Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking an UHP Technician to install, startup, commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Ultra High Purity gas systems for electronics and semiconductor industries.

The role emphasizes independent field work, safety, and customer interaction across a broad regional footprint. The technician will diagnose issues on cryogenic and process equipment, read technical drawings, and execute field service with strong emphasis on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Trade or technical degree or apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Experience in field service or maintenance in industrial settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of UHP gas systems and equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for safe, reliable operation.
• Diagnose issues in mechanical, process, instrumentation, and control systems and implement solutions.
• Read P&IDs, electrical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Support installation, inspection, and testing of new equipment and modifications.
• Interface with customers to resolve issues and communicate project status.
• Develop work scopes, maintenance plans, and field execution strategies.
• Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and inspection reports.
