Job summary

United Hospital Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for the OR Outpatient Surgery Center in Bridgeport, WV. The role requires decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of instruments across the surgery center and hospital, following infection control practices.

  • Operates all mechanical machinery in central sterile.

Tests and reports detected problems with all equipment. 6. Responsible for separating and keeping track of items that have been cleaned and sterilized. 7. Ensures to remove all waste matter from transfer carts. 8. Responsible for organizing, storing, and keeping records of sterile supplies. 9. Responsible for checking the expiration dates on supplies. 10. Maintains a clean work area following established departmental policies and procedures, and infection control standards. 11. Properly operates all mechanical machinery within central sterile. 12. Applies established policies and procedures in completing work assignments. 13.
